About Me
The Double Doodle Dog Walker
A Two‑Doodle Mom With a Big Dream I’m Lauren — a two‑doodle mom and the co‑founder of The Double Doodle Dog Walker, named after the two doodles who started it all. I’ve always joked that my dream was to be in a field surrounded by dozens of doodles, and somewhere along the way, that dream turned into a real, meaningful business.
Where the Idea Came From My own dogs were the reason this business exists. When they came home from traditional walkers or doggy daycare covered in fur and dander from other breeds, the impact was immediate: irritated skin, extra grooming, and allergens brought into our home. It didn’t just affect the dogs — it affected our family and our environment. That’s when I realized that doodles, hypoallergenic, and low‑ to non‑shedding dogs weren’t being served in a way that respected their coats, sensitivities, or the needs of allergy‑conscious households.
Why I Built This Business These breeds thrive when they’re paired with compatible friends, handled with grooming‑friendly care, and kept in clean, coat‑safe environments. I wanted a walking experience designed specifically both the dogs and for the families that love them — thoughtful, intentional, and rooted in compatibility and cleanliness.
My Background Before launching this business, I spent more than 20 years in the tech industry specializing in talent acquisition, employer branding, recruitment marketing, strategic program development, and customer‑centric service design. My work revolved around understanding people, building trust, and making the right matches — strengths that translate seamlessly into creating safe, curated, and well‑designed walking experiences and services for dogs and the families who love them. With an MBA from Bentley University and two decades of operational leadership, I bring passion, structure, reliability, and a premium level of service to everything I do.
Our Mission Our mission is to deliver coat‑compatible walks and solo pet‑care services that minimize allergens brought into the home, help dogs thrive through safe, structured socialization, and provide families with the elevated care they want for their pets
